European stock markets ended lower on Monday after new composite PMI data releases from Germany, the Eurozone, and Britain. Markets also reacted to US President Donald Trump's reported industry-focused tariff adjustments.
The DAX declined by 0.17% and the Euro Stoxx 50 decreased by 0.15% at the closing bell with Bayer AG NA slipping by 6.94%. The FTSE 100 was down 0.10% as Vodafone Group fell by 4.43%. At the same time, the CAC 40 dropped by 0.26% with Carrefour, down 2.83% leading the losses.
At 5:35 pm CET, the euro lost 0.24% against the dollar, selling for $1.07959. Meanwhile, the British pound was flat, selling for $1.29094 a minute later.
