Major stock markets across Europe closed Thursday's session mixed as investors digested the Bank of England's newest rate hike as well as the latest consumer confidence data from the Eurozone.
The DAX closed unchanged. The Euro Stoxx 50 rose by 0.27%, pushed by Prosus' 6.54% growth. The CAC 40 gained 0.11%, as Sanofi surged 5.48%. On the other hand, the FTSE 100 plunged by 0.84%, with BAT tumbling by 5.54%.
The euro climbed 0.35% against the dollar to sell for 1.08940 at 5:31 pm CET, while the pound expanded by 0.45% to $1.23238.
