Major European stock indexes traded in the green in the premarket hours as investors awaited fresh PMI reports from Germany, the Eurozone, and the United Kingdom. Additionally, the euro area's construction output and foreign trade data are set to be released later in the day.
The DAX advanced by 1.71%, and the FTSE 100 improved by 1.07% at 8:00 am CET. At the same time, the CAC 40 gained 0.61%, while the Euro Stoxx 50 added 1.69%.
The euro traded 0.39% lower against the dollar, selling for $1.13771 at 7:58 am CET. A minute later, the pound lost 0.24% compared to the greenback to go for $1.32982.
