Europe mixed in premarket, trade in focus

Major stock exchanges in Europe traded mixed in the premarket on Tuesday as investors hoped for a breakthrough in the United States and China's trade negotiations. The delegations from the two countries met in London yesterday and are expected to continue discussions today. Over in data, the United Kingdom's unemployment figures are set for release.

The DAX and the FTSE 100 were flat at 8:00 am CET. At the same time, the Euro Stoxx 50 declined 0.14% and the CAC 40 increased 0.30%.

The euro traded 0.13% below the dollar at 7:59 am CET, going for 1.14059. Concurrently, the pound lost 0.10% against the greenback, selling at 1.35398.
