Major European stock exchanges closed mostly higher on Monday after fresh data on Eurozone consumer confidence were released. In addition, investors are anticipating the European Central Bank’s monetary policy decision, as well as many earnings reports from major companies that will be published during the week.
The DAX was flat at close. The FTSE 100 decreased by 0.37% as Fresnillo PLC dragged the index down by 4.68%. The CAC 40 increased by 0.50% with Eurofins Scientific SE surging 2.52%. The Euro Stoxx 50 rose 0.42% at the same time, as Flutter Entertainment PLC skyrocketed 4.06%.
The euro was up 0.41% to the dollar at 5:28 am CET to sell for $1.06371. At the same time, the pound sterling rose 0.45% against the greenback to change hands for $1.22201.
