European stock indexes traded mostly with gains in the premarket hours on Monday as investors awaited the latest inflation report from Italy, to be released later in the day. Additionally, France, Germany and Spain are also expected to reveal their consumer prices data throughout the week. Traders will also focus on new developments in the trade sector as the tariff truce between the United States and China expires on Tuesday, August 12.
The DAX rose by 0.18%, while the FTSE 100 traded flat at 8:00 am CET. At the same time, the Euro Stoxx 50 advanced by 0.36%. The CAC 40 improved by 0.22% at 8:01 am CET.
The euro gained 0.24% against the dollar to sell for $1.16695 at 7:58 am CET. Simultaneously, the pound traded 0.11% higher than the greenback, going for $1.34687.
