Major European stock exchanges traded mostly lower at the closing bell on Friday after the latest reports on the United Kingdom, German, and Eurozone PMI Composite were released. Data on UK retail sales and Spain's GDP were also published today.
The DAX fell 0.09% at the closing bell, with Commerzbank dragging the index down by 3.44%. The Euro Stoxx 50 decreased 0.13%. ING Groep plummeted 6.35%. The FTSE 100 rose 0.06%, as Ocado skyrocketed 6.70%. The CAC 40 declined 0.40% at the same time, as Veolia decreased 2.36%.
The euro was flat against the dollar, selling for 1.06568 at 5:28 pm CET, while the pound traded 0.44% lower against the dollar, to go for 1.22564 simultaneously.
