Europe opens flat to higher with earnings, data in focus

Major stock indexes in Europe opened flat to higher on Tuesday as investors digested the newest earnings report from SAP SE on its fourth quarter of fiscal 2024 that was published earlier today and anticipated other earnings reports, such as LVHM, which is set to be released later today. Investors also focused on the data reports, including Spain's unemployment data and the French report on consumer confidence.

The DAX increased by 0.53% at the opening bell, with Zalando adding 3.67%, while the Euro Stoxx 50 climbed by 0.13%, as Mercedes-Benz Group grew by 1.46% at 9:00 am CET. At the same time, the FTSE 100 and the CAC 40 were flat at the open.

The euro was down 0.50% compared to the dollar and sold for $1.04357 at 8:58 am CET. Meanwhile, the pound lost 0.42% against the dollar at 8:59 am CET, selling for $1.24384.
