Europe opens higher ahead of data

Major stock indexes in Europe traded higher at the open on Tuesday with attention turning to Germany's business climate and Spain's producer price reports, which will both be released in a bit.

The DAX rose 0.34% at the beginning of the session, with Continental up 2.01% at 9:01 am CET. The Euro Stoxx 50 gained 0.31% at the open, as Bayer jumped 1.78% at 9:01 am CET. The CAC 40 started with a 0.32% gain, as Publicis Groupe popped 1.07% at 9:01 am CET. The FTSE 100 added 0.17% at 9:00 am CET, with Persimmon growing 1.52% a minute later.

The euro lost 0.13% against the dollar at 8:59 am CET, going for 1.07874. Simultaneously, the pound declined 0.13% against the greenback, going for 1.29068.
