Major European indexes started Tuesday's session in the green as investors awaited the latest inflation figures from the Eurozone. On the political front, market watchers focused on Russian President Vladimir Putin's upcoming visit to North Korea, as well as ongoing crises in Ukraine and the Middle East.
The Euro Stoxx 50 gained 0.83% at 9:01 am CET. Schneider Electric, up 2.02%, led the gains.
The DAX rose 0.73% at 9:01 am CET. The best performer was MTU Aero Engines, whose shares added 2.18%.
The CAC 40 climbed 0.87% at 9:00 am CET as Teleperformance gained 2.11%.
The FTSE 100 was up 0.51% at 9:01 am CET with Flutter Entertainment jumping 2.73%.
The euro and the pound traded flat against the dollar to go for 1.07332 and 1.26996, respectively, at 9:03 am CET.
