Major stock market indexes in Europe opened higher on Friday, anticipating the updates on the services and manufacturing sectors in Germany, France, the Eurozone, and the United Kingdom.
The DAX increased by 0.25% as Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW) expanded by 1.34% at 9:02 am CET. The FTSE 100 rose by 0.22%, with Antofagasta PLC jumping by 2.49% at 9:01 am CET. The CAC 40 gained 0.22%. The Euro Stoxx 50 grew by 0.50%. LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE was the best performer on the latter two indexes, soaring by 3.44% at 9:03 am CET.
The euro went up by 0.42% against the dollar at 8:58 am ET to sell for $1.04615. At that minute, the pound sterling edged up by 0.26% against the United States currency to change hands for $1.23868.
