Major European indexes opened higher on Tuesday as investors anticipated speeches from European Central Bank (ECB) officials, including ECB President Christine Lagarde, at the bank's forum in Sintra.
The Euro Stoxx 50 increased 0.48% at 9:01 am CET. Prosus, up 8.33% at 9:17 am CET, led the gains.
The CAC 40 climbed 0.47% at 9:00 am CET with Publicis jumping 2.46% at 9:09 am CET.
The DAX traded 0.41% in the green at 9:03 am CET. The best performer was BASF, up 1.58%.
The FTSE 100 rose 0.30% at 9:00 am CET as Antofagasta climbed 2.74%.
The euro added 0.28% against the dollar to go for 1.09368 at 9:01 am CET and the pound gained 0.29% compared to the greenback to sell for 1.27478 a minute later.
