Eurozone's gross domestic product (GDP) grew 0.3% in the second quarter of 2024 when compared to the previous three-month period, a second flash estimate report released by the European Commission's Eurostat revealed on Wednesday.
The reading matches the initial flash estimate. The entire European Union saw 0.3% rise in economic growth for the same period. Meanwhile, year over year, GDP growth was at 0.6% for both the euro area and 0.8% in the bloc.
The number of employed individuals in the second trimester of 2024 grew by 0.2% in both the euro area and the bloc, compared to the previous quarter. On an annual basis, the figure rose 0.8% in the Eurozone and 0.7% in the EU.
