Seasonally adjusted production in the construction sector in the euro area was at a stable level month on month in March, according to a report released by Eurostat on Thursday. In the entire European Union, the figure was up by 0.2%. Year on year, the production in construction in the euro area and EU rose by 3.3% and 4.1% in March, respectively.
Building construction in the Eurozone contracted by 0.1% on a monthly basis, while civil engineering was up by 1.5%. Among member states, the sharpest fall was recorded in Slovenia, where construction output lost 7.8%. Meanwhile, the largest jump was observed in Poland, where construction production surged 5.1% month on month.
In the EU, building construction rose 0.2% in March in comparison to the previous month, while civil engineering jumped 2.1%.
