The consumer confidence indicator in both the euro area and the entire European Union improved slightly in February, a preliminary report published by the European Commission showed on Wednesday.
In the Eurozone, the indicator rose by 0.4 percentage points to negative 15.5. Meanwhile, the indicator was up by 0.6 percentage points to negative 15.8 in the entire EU.
Although there was some improvement, "consumer confidence remains well below long-term average," the commission stressed in the report.
