The consumer confidence indicator in the euro area improved slightly in April, a preliminary report published by the European Commission showed on Monday.
In the Eurozone, the indicator rose by 0.2 percentage points to negative 14.7. Meanwhile, the indicator for the entire European Union remained unchanged compared to the previous month, standing at negative 15.2.
Although a minor improvement has been observed, "consumer confidence still scores well below the long-term average," the commission underlined in the report.
