Annual inflation in the Eurozone was confirmed at 2.4% in November, down from 2.9% in October, according to Eurostat's final report published on Tuesday. Month on month, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) declined 0.6%. The core CPI was down to 3.6% compared to 4.2% in October.
Year over year, food, alcohol, and tobacco recorded the highest inflation rate in the reported month, coming in at 6.9%, although down from 7.4% registered in October. Meanwhile, services prices grew 4% in November, and the non-energy industrial goods inflation rate came in at 2.9%. On the other hand, energy prices plunged 11.5% compared to the same month a year prior.
Among the members, the highest annual inflation rate was recorded in Czechia at 8%, Hungary at 7.7% , and Slovakia and Romania, which both registered 6.9%.
