Explosions reported in Kiev amid air raid warning

Explosions were reported to have sounded in the Ukrainian capital Kiev on Saturday, according to the local media.

The Mayor of Kiev Vitaly Klitschko warned citizens to stay in their shelters, adding that an explosion occurred in the Vyshgorod district. Air defense systems have been activated, he wrote on Telegram.

Previously, an air raid alarm was declared in the Kiev, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions amid a possible Russian drone attack.
