Russia slams EU sanctions as 'illegal'

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov reiterated on Tuesday that Russia considers European Union sanctions 'illegal' and in violation of international law.

"We still call them illegal restrictions contradicting international law," Peskov told reporters, emphasizing Moscow's unchanged position.

His comments follow the EU's formal extension of economic sanctions against Russia for another six months, as confirmed by European Commission Vice-President Kaja Kallas a day earlier.
