The FBI arrested Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan on Friday on suspicion of obstructing a federal operation, after she allegedly helped an undocumented immigrant evade arrest.
FBI Director Kash Patel said in a statement posted on X that Judge Dugan "intentionally misdirected federal agents away" from Eduardo Flores Ruiz, who was the target of an apprehension attempt inside her courthouse. The federal agents later detained Ruiz after a brief foot pursuit.
"Thankfully our agents chased down the perp on foot and he’s been in custody since, but the Judge’s obstruction created increased danger to the public," Patel wrote.
