Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated on Tuesday during a press briefing that the recently introduced anti-COVID-19 measures against travelers coming from China are "unreasonable" and are not based on scientific facts.
The spokesperson underscored that Beijing is "firmly opposed to such practices," and cautioned that it could take countermeasures to answer the restrictions.
The European Centre for Disease Prevention already criticized the world's approach to the situation, stating that those implementing the measures against passengers from China should already have a level of defense in place against the virus.
