Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis President Neel Kashkari said on Saturday that he is "not concerned" about who won the presidential election and those for Congress, as he put, "the dynamics in Washington," regarding monetary policy as all the parties involved strive toward lower inflation.
Speaking to Fox News, Kashkari said he is not worried about the cooperation between the Fed and United States President-elect Donald Trump as reducing inflation remains a priority. He also noted that progress was made in that area but the work is "not done yet."
Commenting on the Fed's future cuts in interest rates, Kaskhari said that the institution might not reduce them "as much" if the country's economic growth remains strong.
