Fed hopes less is needed to reduce inflation - Fed’s Kashkari

Minneapolis Federal Reserve President Neel Kashkari stated on Friday that the Fed will do what it has to in order to bring down inflation, but that he hopes "it's less" than what it currently seems.

Kashkari also noted that if the Fed receives help from the supply side of the issue, it will not have to do as much on bringing demand under control again.

Earlier today, German Bundesbank President Joachim Nagel stated that the European Central Bank might decide to raise key interest rates "as early as July."
