The first flight carrying migrants from the United States arrived in Colombia, President Gustavo Petro confirmed on Tuesday. The migrants were returned to Colombia after allegedly entering the US illegally, prompting US President Donald Trump to threaten Colombia with tariffs if they are not repatriated.

The first group of 205 migrants were transported on a Colombian Aerospace Force aircraft. "Our compatriots come from the United States free, dignified, without being handcuffed," Petro said. "Migrants are not criminals, they are free human beings."
