Ford sales jump 22% in February, EV sales soar 68%

Ford Motor Company said on Thursday that its vehicle sales stood at 157,606 units, rising 22% compared to the same month a year earlier.

Electric vehicle sales soared 68% year on year to 3,523 units and hybrid vehicle sales surged 33% to 9,157 units. Since the start of 2023, Ford sold a total of 303,962 vehicles, 11% more than in the first two months of 2022, with electric vehicle sales skyrocketing 88% compared to the first two months a year earlier.

Earlier in the day, the automaker said it is recalling over 98,000 cars over an issue with airbags.
