Ford Motor Co. is recalling as many as 240,510 vehicles due to improperly secured seat belts, the United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on Friday. The recall concerns 2020-2021 Explorer and Aviator models, which will have to be inspected by dealers.
In addition, Ford will recall around 1,635 Maverick vehicles made between 2022 and 2024 which were previously repaired incorrectly, according to the NHTSA. The agency explained that, "in the event that one of the rear turn signals stops working, the vehicle will not adjust the turn signal flash rate frequency to warn the driver that a turn signal has failed."
