Foxconn, Mitsubishi allegedly near EV deal

Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., also known as Foxconn Technology Group, and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation are close to sealing the deal on electric vehicles (EVs), Nikkei Asia reported on Thursday.

According to a source familiar with the matter, the partnership would allow the electronics manufacturer an opportunity to raise its profile in the EV industry.

Previously, similar deals with Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. were reported.
