French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne visited on Sunday the Paris police headquarters to monitor the situation related to the riots in that city.
According to the government representative, 45,000 police officers and thousands of firefighters were deployed "to protect and guarantee the republican order."
"In the face of violence, they are showing exemplary courage," Borne said on Twitter after the visit.
