French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne is scheduled to announce multiple new ecology projects on Friday as part of the government's plans to make France a "green nation."

Borne told local magazine Liberation in an interview that she plans to launch 22 ecological projects that will cover all areas of life, including travel, housing, production and consumption. The plan will rely on local communities' efforts and won't oblige people to live their lives in a particular way, she stressed.

The point is to give citizens an alternative, Borne explained, urging citizens to take action to preserve the planet.
