G7 calls oil exporters to up deliveries

The Group of Seven (G7) issued an official statement on Thursday, asking countries that export oil and natural gas to "act in a responsible manner" and increase supply to international markets.

"OPEC has a key role to play. We will work with them and all partners to ensure stable and sustainable global energy supplies," the statement read.

The group restated its stance on the conflict in Ukraine, condemning Russia, and warning Moscow not to use biological, chemical, or nuclear weapons.
