Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced that the federal state will on Thursday loosen all of its remaining coronavirus restrictions after seeing a downward trend in new infections.
Kemp said that the shelter-in-place order that shut down non-essential businesses statewide will also be lifted. "We know hard-working Georgians can not endure another year like that last," he noted.
The governor went on to encourage people to get vaccinated so the state can continue making progress and eventually return to pre-pandemic normality.
