General Motors Co. and Nvidia Corporation announced on Tuesday that they agreed to expand their collaboration and work together on next-generation vehicles, factories, and robots using AI, simulation and accelerated computing.
According to the statement, the automaker will use Nvidia Drive AGX platform, which is running Nvidia DriveOS operating system, "for in-vehicle hardware for future advanced driver-assistance systems" and safer driving experiences.
"The era of physical AI is here, and together with GM, we're transforming transportation, from vehicles to the factories where they're made," Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang commented. "We are thrilled to partner with GM to build AI systems tailored to their vision, craft and know-how," he added.
