General Motors Co. announced on Thursday the company's revenue in the third quarter of 2020 amounted to $35.5 billion, unchanged compared to the same period a year earlier.
Earnings per share during the same quarter came in at $2.78, up 74% on the year, on income of $4 billion.
"We entered the pandemic in a strong position and acted decisively to keep our teams safe, conserve cash and preserve liquidity, all while keeping our critical product programs on track," Chairman and CEO Mary Barra said.
Shares of GM jumped over 6% to $37.40 per share in premarket trading after the release of the company's earnings.
