South Carolina Senator and a contender for the Republican nominee in the 2024 United States presidential election, Tim Scott (pictured), remarked during the party debate in Simi Valley, California, that President Joe Biden should finish the wall at the border with Mexico.
In his opening remarks at the debate, Scott claimed there have been six million illegal border crossings since Biden became president. He later noted that former President Donald Trump "failed on this as well" as he did not finish the wall he promised to build.
"Joe Biden should not be on the picket line; he should be on the south border working to close our southern border," he stressed, labeling the area as "unsafe" and "wide open." Later on, he described the issues at the border as a "law enforcement" problem.
