GOP to formalize Biden impeachment inquiry

United States House Republicans hope to vote on formalizing the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden, the House Rules Committee said on Thursday. The committee also released a resolution to authorize the Oversight and Accountability, Ways and Means, and the Judiciary committees to continue their ongoing investigations.

The impeachment inquiry started under House Speaker Kevin McCarthy in September and is based on the findings of the Republican-controlled Oversight panel, which found that the Biden family and their business associates received over $20 million in payments from "foreign sources." The White House has repeatedly dismissed the allegations.
