Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. stated on Wednesday that it sold over one million of its Galaxy S24 smartphones in South Korea, just 28 days after the model was launched, Yonhap News Agency reported.
The sales beat the record set by the Galaxy S8 by nine days, falling behind the Galaxy Note 10 released in 2019 by 3 days. The Galaxy S24 reached the mark three weeks earlier than its predecessor, the Galaxy S23.
Its Galaxy S24 Ultra model accounted for 55% of total sales in South Korea, followed by the Galaxy S24 Plus and the standard Galaxy S24 model.
