The Gaza Health Ministry on Sunday reported a stark increase in casualties in the conflict between Israel and Palestine, with the death toll rising by 55 in the past day to reach 38,153 in total.
The figures mark over five months of violence since Hamas launched its attack on Israel in October.
In the past day alone, 123 Palestinians were injured, bringing the total number of wounded to 87,823.
