Equities on the Asian markets traded higher on Friday after United States Senate confirmed President Joe Biden's appointment of Jerome Powell to a second term as Federal Reserve Chair.
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite traded 0.56% higher at 4:30 am CET and the Shenzhen Composite added 0.11% at 6:26 am CET. At 6:28 am CET, Hong Kong's Hang Seng went up by 2.0%, with South Korea's Kospi up by 1.71% at the same time.
Japan's Nikkei 225 increased by 2.48% at 6:29 am CET as the dollar traded 0.51% against the yen, going for ¥130.3595 at 5:28 am CET, as the Australian S&P/ASX 200 lost 0.13%.
