Gas transportation through the Nord Stream pipeline has been completely stopped due to issues related to its equipment, Gazprom announced on its Telegram channel on Friday.
The problem was found during joint maintenance work with Siemens company when the two parties found an oil leak at the Portovaya Compression Station located on the Russian coast of the Baltic Sea.
The company will not resume gas flow through the pipeline until the equipment issues are resolved, the Russian energy giant explained today while providing no timeframe for the restart of gas supply.
