General Electric Co. (GE) stated on Tuesday that its total revenues were $14.49 billion in the first quarter of fiscal 2023, rising 14% from the corresponding timeframe a year earlier. In the first trimester of 2023, continuing earnings per share improved to $5.56 from a continuing loss per share of $1.16 documented in the same period in 2022.
"At GE Aerospace, we are growing rapidly and supporting our customers amidst the pronounced commercial ramp. At GE Vernova, we are seeing continued signs of progress in Renewable Energy while Power is delivering solid growth. Overall, GE is creating significant value today and tomorrow as we prepare to stand up these leading franchises as independent companies sometime in early 2024," GE Chairman and CEO and GE Aerospace CEO H. Lawrence Culp Jr. noted in a press release.
GE stock rose 1.35% in the premarket after the figures were published.
