Seasonally and price-adjusted new factory orders in Germany declined by 3.7% in October compared to the previous month, the country's Federal Statistical Office Destatis revealed in a report published on Wednesday.
Foreign orders plunged 7.6% compared to September, while domestic orders rose 2.4%. New orders from the euro area plummeted by 7.6% and new orders from other countries dropped by 7.4% month on month. New orders of intermediate goods decreased by 1.4% and capital goods orders fell by 6%, while orders of consumer goods climbed by 2.8%.
On an annual basis, calendar-adjusted new factory orders shrank 7.3% in October.
