Industrial production in the German manufacturing sector increased 1.5% on a monthly basis in November, the country's Federal Statistical Office Destatis said in a provisional report released on Thursday.
Compared to the corresponding month last year, the figure dropped 2.8%. In November, energy production saw a 5.6% jump from the previous month, while the manufacture of other transport equipment, including aircraft, ships, trains, and military vehicles, surged 11.4% month-over-month.
Meanwhile, production of intermediate goods was up by 0.5%, and consumer goods output rose by 0.9%. The production of capital goods was 1.4% higher than in October.
