German producer prices down 3.3% in April

Producer prices in Germany observed an annual decrease of 3.3% in April, the country's statistical office Destatis said in its report issued on Tuesday. Compared to March, the figure advanced by 0.2%.

Energy prices fell by 8.2% on an annual basis and dropped by 0.1% on a monthly one. Intermediate goods dropped by 3.1% year-on-year while rising by 0.3% month-on-month. Meanwhile, capital goods increased by 2.4% compared to April 2023 and 0.2% compared to March.

Durable goods also rose by 1.0% annually and 0.1% monthly. Non-durable goods grew by 0.3% year-on-year and 0.4% month-on-month.
