Producer prices in Germany declined by 1.1% in October, the country's statistical office Destatis revealed in a report on Wednesday. The index rose 0.2% month-over-month.
In the reported month, energy prices dropped 5.6% compared to the same timeframe a year ago and climbed by 0.6% compared to September 2024. Prices of intermediate goods rose by 0.4% from October 2023 and fell by 0.3% from the prior month. Meanwhile, prices of capital goods jumped 2% annually and grew 0.2% month-on-month.
Durable consumer goods advanced by 0.9% on an annual basis and 0.2% compared to the previous month. Non-durable goods increased by 1.9% year-on-year and 0.2% month-on-month.
