The German trade surplus stood at €14.9 billion in June, down from €18.4 billion recorded in May, the country's Federal Statistical Office Destatis revealed in its report on Thursday.
Exports, according to the report, totaled €130.5 billion, marking a 0.8% increase from the previous month and a 2.4% rise compared to the same month last year. Imports grew by 4.2% to €115.6 billion. Compared to the same month a year earlier, imports increased by 7.9%.
In June 2025, Germany's calendar and seasonally adjusted exports to EU Member States reached €73 billion, while imports from these countries were €59.6 billion. Meanwhile, exports to non-EU countries amounted to €57.5 billion, and imports from these countries totaled €56 billion.
