Germany to issue travel ban for 18 Khashoggi suspects

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas (pictured) announced on Monday that 18 citizens of Saudi Arabia, suspected of involvement in the murder of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi, will be banned from entering the country and the whole of Schengen zone of free movement, comprising most of the European Union, plus Switzerland and Norway. "We still have more questions than answers in the Khashoggi case," he pointed out on the sidelines of the meeting of European Union ministers.

Berlin's top diplomat also stated that the decision has been discussed with his British and French counterparts. The list of names will not be revealed due to the privacy laws that Germany has.
