German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said Tuesday that Germany will not be able to replace every single Leopard 2 battle tank damaged in Ukraine.
"We will not be able to replace all the battle tanks that are now disabled," Pistorius told Bild, although, at the same time, he stressed the importance of backing Kiev.
Along the same lines, the German representative expressed that his country will increase "the supply of repaired Leopard 1A5 tanks as of July," so "by the end of the year, there will be more than 100." Earlier, the German government approved the delivery of 178 Leopard 1A5 tanks to Kiev.
