United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia Leonie Brinkema set Alphabet Inc.'s Google's newest antitrust trial related to its advertisement policy for September 22, it was revealed in court hearing papers released on Friday.
The judge ruled that the investigation found that Google has violated the country's antitrust rules by creating what was described as a monopoly in online advertising markets due to its dominant position in the technology sector.
"For over a decade, Google has tied its publisher ad server and ad exchange together through contractual policies and technological integration, which enabled the company to establish and protect its monopoly power in these two markets," Brinkema wrote in the court papers.
