American tech giant Google LLC has announced on Wednesday that it will be terminating its work-from-home program and begin requesting employees in the San Francisco Bay Area and several other locations in the United States to return to an office regime starting April 4.
"The advances in prevention and treatment, the steady decline in cases that we continue to see, and the improved safety measures we have implemented across our Bay Area sites now mean we can officially begin the transition to the hybrid work week," Google vice president of global benefits stated in an official email seen by CNBC.
Google stated that it will be expecting workers to work in the office three days a week, with also having two days of remote work. The company will still be requiring any employee entering the workspace to be fully vaccinated or have approved accommodation.
