Google Chief Executive Sundar Pichai announced on Tuesday a new "Password Checkup" for Android phones meant to optimize user security.
He tweeted: "Password Checkup is coming to @Android, alerting you if a password you entered into an app has been compromised. We’re also launching a new version of our screen reader with the features most requested by the blind and low vision communities, and more."
Password Checkup will, therefore, be integrated into devices running Android 9 and above. This feature will let the user know if the chosen password has been previously exposed and what to do about it.
